Wyoming

I have only been to Wyoming once, back in 2021, my family and I took a road trip to visit Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons β only one day in each, which is not nearly enough time. Although short, it was incredible and definitely worth the visit. We took the Yellowstone road clockwise from Montana and had to miss some of the park, but what we did see was the mighty Yellowstone River, Old Faithful, Artist Point, and Gibbon Falls, as well as the Artist Paint Pots and the Sapphire Pool.
When in the Tetons, we took the Jenny Lake Boat across the water to visit Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. We only scratched the surface, but man, if there is any National Park I would love to go back to, it is this one.
Fun Fact: In Yellowstone, the Firehole River flows through steaming geothermal landscapes and stays warm enough in winter that parts of it never freeze, creating a surreal, mist-filled river that feels almost otherworldly.
Where to visit: Easy, Yellowstone, and the Tetons.
You can find camping, National Park, and hiking info at the bottom of the page. There is also a lot of dispersed camping.
